At North Star DAPE Consulting, we provide high-quality Developmental Adapted Physical Education (DAPE) services to schools across Minnesota. Our goal is to support students with disabilities in accessing meaningful and inclusive physical education.

Our Services:

Direct & Indirect DAPE Instruction – Tailored support for students receiving DAPE services.

Student Evaluations for DAPE Eligibility – We assess students to determine if they qualify for DAPE services. (Even if you don’t currently have students receiving DAPE, we can contract on an evaluation-only basis.)

Teacher & Staff Support – Consultation for General and Special Education teachers, as well as Educational Assistants, to help integrate students with disabilities into General Physical Education classes.

Due Process & Documentation – Assistance with required reports, progress tracking, IEP goals, and more.

Get to Know Me
Hi, I’m Steve, the founder of North Star DAPE Consulting! I’ve had the privilege of teaching in New Zealand, Australia, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Minnesota, gaining a diverse range of experiences in adapted physical education along the way.
I currently live in Dayton, MN, with my wife and our four lovable pets—two golden retrievers, Walter and Rupert, and two cats, Louis and Winston. When I’m not working with schools to create inclusive physical education programs, you’ll likely find me golfing, traveling, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
I’m passionate about helping students of all abilities succeed in physical education, and I look forward to partnering with schools to provide high-quality DAPE services.
